We observed a giant turkey tapping on a windown yesterday. Guess he wanted to come in for a snack!

They come by our place-but I never see 'em in the winter. Things can get brutal here in Niagara Falls just like Boston.

We have not seen a turkey but we have had two mild winters in a row so we have a substantial herd of deer. It is not unusual to find 10+ grazing in the front yard when I go down for the paper in the morning.

Authirities here in NE wil do nithing abiut the massive deer population.

I once had a herd of 13 deer munching, playing and standing around on my back lawn--no dogs here and the roses and uwanamus plants attracted them. Usually I spray the multitude of flower gardens and plantings with the product deeroff. If one doesn't keep an eye on things the deer will destroy certain plants and bushes such as hemlock. BUT, there is an even bigger problem--lime disease from deer ticks--never seen a tick probaby because the kandscaper sprays and spreads anti lime materials on all lawns and beds. This is a good reason not to have a dog; plus, the coyote problem of eating small dogs. I am surrunded by woods, so there are a multitude of animals. Somewhere I have a photo of a BIG BUCK WITH MASSIVE ANTLERS standing 30 feet from a back door and an old coyts rolling around on the grass. A real animal farm!

Many people in NE have contracted LIME disease in the last 10-20 years because of the huge deer poplulaton which needs to be thinned out!

DO YOU EAT THEM OR SELL THEM?

(Oh, I see they are from Larry B's farm.)

Jon,
I took some pictures with the late Larry Burwell when he was visiting, and the file on my computer I labeled that way.

I sell baby turkey poults and fertile Turkey eggs and the big ones when they get some age on them.

I always wanted my own chicken coop.

Maybe when I retire and move to Vermont or NH, I can have one!
